Repeater
W9HHX-R is the callsign of our
repeater. Currently running the 145.27/144.67 split, and running a
127.3 PLTM tone,
our repeater provides communications for much of
the downtown Milwaukee area. The controller and associated equipment
are all custom designed by a former student. We currently have plans
to replace this hardware with a new modern controller, better antenna,
and a new transmitter and receiver in the months ahead. The antenna
and repeater facilities are provided to us by the generosity of the
Milwaukee School of Engineering. They have allowed us a large storage
area on top of the Margaret Loock Residence Hall. This is a 13 story
structure in the downtown area, and has been the home of W9HHX/R for
many years. The repeater and its' antenna have a nice view of the
Milwaukee skyline from this vantage point.
Our Office
Our club station is located in room CC-346, of the
Student Life and Campus Center. This multi-million dollar complex,
is home to the administrative and other offices of MSOE. Our main
antenna facilities are on top of this 5 story
structure, in the heart of downtown Milwaukee. We invite you to stop
by our office and the Milwaukee School of
Engineering for a taste of what we have to offer!
